General Meetings

Three times a year, we gather on a Saturday morning to eat, talk, and learn more about celiac disease and the gluten-free diet. We generally have a guest speaker, product and information updates, and lots of good food to sample!. Meetings are held in February, April, and September.

Anyone interested in the gluten-free diet, including family members and friends, are welcome. There is no charge for the meeting.

Meetings begin at 10:00 am and are held at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 29 Westmount Road South, Waterloo (one block south of Erb Street). For a map, click here.

Support Meetings

Our goal is to provide people diagnosed with celiac disease with information about living well on a gluten-free diet. Our meetings give you advice and support that complement the information provided by dietitans and physicians. Our chapter is led by people who eat and prepare gluten-free food every day.

Newly Diagnosed or New to Our Area?

We hold a basic information meeting on the last Monday of every month (except December). All the meetings cover the basic information you need to eat gluten-free, but the rest of the meeting depends on the needs and interests of the people attending.

Anyone interested in the gluten-free diet, including family members and friends, are welcome. There is no charge for the meeting.

These meetings are held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 29 Westmount Road South, Waterloo (one block south of Erb Street).

Special Events

Our chapter hosts various special events each year. The highlight is generally our November Gluten-Free Holiday dinner. This fundraising turkey dinner includes all the trimmings: stuffings, cranberry sauce, and delicious goodies for dessert. Everyone is welcome. There is a charge for this event. BRUCE-GREY SATELLITE GROUP

A support group meets five times a year at First United Church, 435 21st St W, Owen Sound. Meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the third Monday of February, April, June, September, and November. Contact Diane Haines (519.538.2267) for more information.

WALKERTON SETELLITE GROUP

An initial meeting of the Walkerton Satellite has been held and additional meetings are under consideration. If you are interested in attending a meeting in Walkerton, send an email to kwceliac@sympatico.ca
