What’s your Celiac IQ?

November 15, 2018 – Mississauga, ON.  The Canadian Celiac Association (CCA) is asking Canadian family doctors and other healthcare practitioners to test their Celiac IQ during this week’s Family Medicine Forum being held in Toronto from November 15 – 17 at the Metro Convention Centre. The Family Medicine Forum is one of Canada’s largest education events for the medical profession.

Due to the complexity of this autoimmune disease, many patients are not easily diagnosed. The disease can present in many fashions including non-classic signs such as headaches, low energy, infertility and poor bone health. Doctors are asked to #GoBeyondTheGut and learn about these atypical symptoms.  Classic symptoms include bloating, diarrhea and weight loss.

CCA has developed an algorithm to assist doctors and other healthcare practitioners to diagnosis celiac disease more easily. Click here. CCA will be putting professionals through their paces at booth 211.
